I'm Emily, your Intuitive Eating Registered Dietitian.

About Me

I am here to help you leave your struggles with food, exercise, and body image behind, so you can gain your life back and develop a lifelong, healthy, & sustainable relationship with food.

My Story

Growing up I did not have a healthy relationship with food. I thought that eating less and exercising more was the only way to be healthy. This lead me down a very dark road of an eating disorder that took me years to fully recover from. Learn more about my philosophy as a dietitian in VoyageAustin magazine article here.

Through my own healing journey, I developed a strong passion for helping others navigate away from diet culture, achieve wellness without obsession, and find the peace that I now have with food to help women live an empowered and free life. I believe that everyone in all bodies deserve to feel at home with themselves and can benefit from intuitive eating so they can fulfill their life’s purpose.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics at Western Kentucky University and completed a 1200+ hour dietetic internship in areas of clinical, foodservice, community outreach, business and counseling. I have owned Emmys Yummys Nutrition for over a year now and have helped so many women recover from dieting and disordered eating to rebuild a truly healthy relationship with food, movement, and their bodies.

My Approach

I believe in a realistic approach to nutrition and wellness that works for the individual. I don’t believe in “quick fixes” or crazy supplements to change your life.

Nutrition should be easy and require little brain work.

Food should not be adding stress or worry into your life. I work with clients to help make nutrition easy and manageable while working on creating a healthy relationship with food again.

My program Nourished to Thrive has helped so many women ditch the restrictive diet mentality, rebuild trust with their bodies after dieting and has shown them how to live a healthful life without food obsession.
